We’re allowed to be
more than one thing.

Some conversations turn into aviation stories. Others turn into questions about a border, a river, or something impossibly far away in the night sky. We wanted somewhere to follow those threads.

Sribhumi is the home we’re building for them: a family of independent projects, each with its own focus and room to find its own voice.

VictorTango is our aviation wing. Geography is next, beginning with a quiz that makes knowing the world a little more fun. Astronomy is an idea we want to explore further. We’re leaving room for the things we haven’t thought of yet.

Our name comes from Sribhumi, the district in Assam’s Barak Valley formerly known as Karimganj. It’s where this story is rooted.

The name Sribhumi is associated with Tagore’s description of this region and is understood as the land of Maa Lakshmi. We want to give that history the care and sourcing it deserves when we write about it in depth.

There’s still so much of this place worth recording: its rivers and villages, its languages, its food, and the people who make it home. Those interests belong here too, alongside everything beyond it.

We’re a few friends working on this in our spare time. You’ll see “a bekkar clan project” at the bottom of the page. That’s us.

We like making things, asking questions, and getting a little too interested in the details. We’re learning as we go, and we want the work to get better with every project.

We’ll check what we can, say when we’re unsure, and make corrections when we get something wrong. The ambition is big. The work happens one useful thing at a time.
